A woman from New Cambria was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday night in Dickinson County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Joyce Morgan was riding a 2000 Honda motorcycle, headed west on K 18 Highway.

A 2017 Ford Escape was headed south on Barn Road. It failed to stop at a stop sign at K 18, and entered the roadway.

The motorcycle struck the SUV.

Morgan, who was wearing a helmet, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the SUV, 41-year-old Tonya Cruce of Abilene, was not hurt. She was buckled up.

The crash happened at 6:15 Sunday night, 13 miles east of Bennington on K 18 Highway.
