A New Cambria man contacted police after discovering someone had forged one of his personal checks.

Salina Police Sergeant Jim Feldman tells KSAL News that the unauthorized check was stolen, forged and cashed sometime between October 14 and November 28.

Police have a person of interest in the case who allegedly forged the check to themselves for $4,600.
