A fire destroys a van northwest of Salina.

Crews from Rural Fire District #3 were called to a vehicle fire Tuesday morning at 4:30am at 1500 North Link Road.

Owner Kathy Reynolds told investigators that the 2002 Pontiac Montana mini-van had recently stopped running and they had pushed the vehicle off the driveway.

She awoke this morning to see the van destroyed by flames.

Sheriff Roger Soldan says the cause of the fire could have been electrical in nature and foul play is not suspected.

The van is a total loss listed at $2,500. No one was injured.
