Multiple guns are stolen from a rural home.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft case in the 4000 block of S. Simpson Road.
William DeSilvey told deputies that he and his wife returned home to discover that a collection of hunting rifles and shotguns had been removed from a room inside their home on Tuesday sometime between 9:30am and 1pm.
Deputies say 3 rifles were taken as well as 3 pump shotguns and 2 BB air rifles.
Over 1,500 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition was also taken, plus 10-tabs of a prescription drug, a digital camera and two electric blankets.
There was no sign of forced entry but a window was found open.
Total loss is listed at $4,285.
