No one was hurt after a truck fire north of Salina Monday evening.
A crew from the Solomon Fire Department was sent to the 4700 block of of Amos Road around 8pm after a 1988 Ford F150 caught on fire.
Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander tells KSAL News that Riley Krueger, 20 of rural Salina was driving on I-70 and saw flames coming from under the hood and exited around Old-40 Highway and Amos Road.
Deputies say he fought the flames with fire extinguishers but could not quell the blaze.
The truck is listed as a total loss.
Fire officials believe the cause is linked to a ruptured fuel line or brake line.
