A Wichita aviation company is planning a large expansion.

Spirit AeroSystems announced yesterday it will invest one-billion-dollars in its Wichita operations and construct a new building on its campus.

The company also plans to create one-thousand new jobs by 2019. Most of the new jobs will include mechanics, technicians, machine operators and production.
