Brenda Lorraine Cousins, 62, of Galva, Kansas, passed away at 5:20 p.m., Tuesday, December 5th 2017, at her home.

Brenda was born in Winfield, Kansas on July 20, 1955, a daughter of Edith (Wilson) Spencer and the late Virgil Eugene Spencer.

Brenda attended Atlanta Elementary School in Atlanta, Kansas, Udall High School, Udall, Kansas and graduated from Inman High School, Inman, Kansas in 1973, Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Brenda was a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation

Brenda enjoyed tending to her rose garden, camping, spending time with her friends, and her family especially her grandchildren.

Brenda Spencer was united in marriage to Glenn Cousins on May 24, 1995 at McPherson Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband Glenn Cousins, of Galva, Kansas, sons Tarl Dennett and his wife Susan, of McPherson, Kansas, Aaron Dennett and his wife Julie, of McPherson, Kansas, Micah Dennett and his wife Lucy, of McPherson, Kansas, her mother Edith Spencer, of El Dorado, Kansas, her sisters Shirley Reece and her husband Marion, of Moline, Kansas, Jan Dobbs and her husband Dennis, of Noble, Oklahoma and step daughter Brandi Bowles, of Kingman, Kansas, her grandchildren, Cady Dennett, Alexia Dennett, Aspen Dennett, Kiel Dennett, Otto Dennett, William Cousins, Gussi Bowls and her great-grandchildren – Caden Dennett, Asher Holdren, Benjamin Cousins, Alayna Cousins, other relatives and host of friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father Virgil Spencer and her sister Lori Kempton.

A Graveside Service will be held at Wilmot Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th, with Joe Hertzler officiating.
