Elsie M. Widler, 94, of Enterprise, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Abilene, Kansas. Elsie was born June 14, 1923 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of William C. and Nettie May (Givens) Castleberry.
On April 11, 1944 Elsie married Dean Widler in Golden, Colorado. Elsie was a member of the First Christian Church in Abilene and loved quilting, sewing, painting, making cookies, and being with her family.
Elsie leaves a loving family, her daughters Deanna and her husband Steve Dunkel of Junction City, Kansas, Sandy and her husband Gary Becker of Omaha, Nebraska, son Michael and his wife Rita of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, six grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) and Darren Brink, Andrew (Jennifer) and Jason (Megan) Becker, and Cameron (Christina) Widler and Skye (William) Berg, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dean in 2004, and her sisters Opal Currie, Frieda DiClementi.
Graveside services for Elsie will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Enterprise with Pastor Jason Kohler officiating. Elsie’s family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
