Robert L. McGilvray, 35, son of Pat and Donna McGilvray, passed in his home on March 21, 2018.
Born on October 29, 1982, he was a lifelong resident of Salina. He graduated from Salina South in 2001. He worked for Mahaska in Salina.

He had a passion for drawing and calligraphy. He was a collector of sorts. He saw value in unique items. A dreamer, he was always coming up with big plans. Robert had a sincere smile that reached his eyes. He had an easy laugh. He was a kind and giving man, humble and modest. He was not a religious man, but he held true to his faith.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Jean (Griggs) McConnell and K.D. and Agnes (Weber) McGilvray.

Survivors include his parents; sisters Kristi (Brad) Affolter, Jennifer McGilvray, and Michelle McGilvray, all of Salina; brothers Chris (Stephanie) McGilvray, of Loveland, Colorado and Tim (Kayla) McGilvray of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and three nephews, three nieces, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 29th at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., with Pastor Jon Fillipi officiating. Burial will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials go to the Robert L. McGilvray Education Fund, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
