Authorities are saying a school threat in Derby is unfounded.

Derby Public Schools officials say a concerned parent called yesterday to report their child overheard another student threatening to shoot up the school bus as it headed to Wineteer Elementary School.

The school bus driver was instructed to inspect the bus and all backpacks, but no weapons were found.
