Beverly “Bev” Gaeddert-Regier, 78, of Inman, KS, passed away at 3:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21st, 2018 peacefully, at Pleasant View Home.
Beverly was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 15, 1939, a daughter of Olive Laverne (Edgecomb) and Robert Edward Wiegand.
Bev attended grade school in Ellis and Quinter, Kansas and graduated from Inman High School, Inman, Kansas in 1957.
She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Inman, KS, and attended Hoffnungsau with her husband Loren.
Through the years Bev was a homemaker and also worked at Pleasant View Home as Director of Activities for over 25 years. She enjoyed her job and loved to always go above and beyond for every event she planned.
Bev volunteered with the Lucky Leaf and Country Cousins 4 -H Clubs, was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons. She enjoyed making crafts, going to garage sales, collecting tea pots, owls, apples, angels, snowmen, and capturing memories on film. Bev was also a leader for Weight Watchers. Bev enjoyed traveling and attending grandchildren’s events and activities.
Beverly A. Wiegand was united in marriage to Arlin Dean Gaeddert on August 4, 1957 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Inman, Kansas. Arlin died on February 25, 1999. Bev was united in marriage to Loren Dean Regier on December 31, 2000 at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, rural Inman, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband of over 17 years, Loren Regier, of Inman, Kansas; her children, Wylene Lengel and husband Doug, of McPherson, Kansas, Dawn Belknap and husband Gary, of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Dr. Wade Gaeddert and wife Angie, of McPherson, Kansas, and Keena Leochner and husband Michael, of Lee’s Summit Missouri; her brother, Ronald E. Wiegand, of Golden, Colorado; her 7 grandchildren, Bryant Belknap and wife Emily, Brenna Kiser and husband Daniel, Nichelle Gaeddert, Brooke Gaeddert, William Gaeddert, Mackenzie Leochner, Brock Leochner; her 2 great-granddaughters, Olive Belknap and Kieava Kiser other; relatives and a host of friends.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lyle Dean Gaeddert; and her 1st husband Arlin Gaeddert.
Friends are also invited to call on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Inman, Kansas.
Graveside service will be held at on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Inman Cemetery Inman, Kansas.
The memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Inman, KS, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30th, 2018 with Reverend Dennis Ureche officiating.
