Glenda LeAnn Huschka, 65, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 9:23 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 while in the company of family members at her home.

Glenda was born in Norton, Kansas on June 19, 1952, the daughter of Bertha (Hunt) and Glen Hathaway.

Glenda attended Norton grade schools and graduated from Norton High School in 1970.  She then attended Secretary School at Colby Junior College in Colby, Kansas.

Through the years , Glenda worked for a drug store in Norton, Kansas as a soda jerk; Prairie Land Electric Coop, Norton, Kansas as a secretary; and Collegiate Peaks Bank, Buena Vista, Colorado as a teller supervisor.  She also made and decorated cakes for people when she lived in Colorado.

Glenda LeAnn Hathaway was united in marriage to Eldon Eugene Huschka on November 6, 1982 in Norton, Kansas.  She is survived by her husband Eldon Huschka, McPherson, Kansas; her step-children Bridget Fox and her husband Troy, McPherson, Kansas and Brandon Huschka, Loveland, Colorado; and her step-grandsons Derek Huschka, Jackson Fox, and Jaden Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Velda.

Glenda was very organized and kept annual detailed calendars full of important dates and family information.  She avidly read and studied her bible while praying for   people daily.  She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, watching TV, and spending time with her grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas with Fr. Hien Nguyen officiating. Glenda attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with her husband, Eldon.

Final resting place will be at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
