Janice L. Dethloff, age 53, unexpectedly left this earthly life on Monday, April 23, 2018 at her home in Concordia, KS. She was born on Dec. 12, 1964 in Concordia, KS to Joseph E. & Patricia L. (Russell) Kuchera.
She graduated from Concordia High School in 1983 and the Cloud County Community College in 1985. She married Les Dethloff on May 2, 1992 at Concordia, KS. She worked in human resources for ABB-Raymond, Alstom Power & Pre-Heater & Arvos, Inc. until the plant closed in 2016. She then went to work for State Farm Ins. Co. in Concordia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary where she assisted with the Avenue of Flags.
Janice was a strong supporter of her children’s activities and sports. She served as treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 38, was a 4-H Ambassador advisor.
She is survived by her husband, Les, Concordia; son, Russell, Lincoln, NE; daughter, Jessica, Concordia; sister, Connie Heidenreich (James), Junction City & niece & nephew, Kyle & Allyson Heidenreich, Junction City.
She was preceded in death by her parents & a sister, Cheryl Irene Kuchera.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, April 27, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, Concordia with Pastor Melanie Adams officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 9 am to 4 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. The family will greet friends from 5-7 pm, Thursday in the Parlor Room at the First United Methodist Church, Concordia.
