A Salina man is hurt in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol 32-year-old George Meinhardt was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Interstate 135. For an unknown reason he drifted into the median and crossed over to the southbound lanes. He lost control, skidded across both lanes, and came to rest on the right shoulder of the southbound side.

Meinhardt, who was not wearing a helmet, was hurt. He was transported to a Wichita hospital.

The crash happened at about 12:45 Sunday afternoon on Interstate 135 just north of the Assaria exit.
