Phyllis F. Friederich

Funeral services for Phyllis F. Friederich, age 93 of Abilene will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with Reverend John Collins officiating. Ms. Friederich passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene.

Phyllis F. Friederich was born February 19, 1925 in Tripp, South Dakota the daughter of Gust and Nellie (Deurmeier) Friederich. She attended schools in Tripp until her junior year when her family moved to Abilene where she graduated from Abilene High School.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Southwestern Bell Pioneers, and enjoyed ceramics and Beadwork

Phyllis was a telephone operator in Kansas City, Missouri during WWII, then for Southwestern Bell/AT&T in Abilene for 36 years and retired after working for United Telephone in Junction City, Kansas.

Phyllis passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Abilene. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bud, Glen, Cleo and Jim; her sister Marian, and her parents.

There will be no visitation. Private inurnment will be at a later date in the Abilene Cemetery.
