Jan Maddox, 79, of Salina, known to her grandkids as “Tache” passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Jan graduated from North High School in Wichita in 1956 where she met Charlie, her husband of 61 years.
In 1973, she began her 30-year banking career in Salina, working for Peoples Heritage Savings and First Bank. Jan’s life was filled with service to others. She was active in numerous organizations including the United Methodist Church, the election board, Salina Hospital volunteer, and numerous other groups. Family was a central part of Jan’s life. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
She is survived by: her husband, Charlie (Papa); son, Randy (Kathryn); daughter, Tami (Randy); grandchildren, Kristen (Kyle), Kale (Sharon), Will, Emily, Christina (Wes), Wendy (Adam); and 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Jan’s life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina, with Reverend Barry Dundas officiating.
Memorial donations in memory of Jan may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
