Gary J Fernandez. 64, of Salina, passed away Friday June 29, 2018. He was born Dec 31, 1953 in Salina, the son of Joseph and Eleanor (Rojas) Fernandez. Gary was a graduate of Salina High Central, he worked for Beach Aircraft in shipping and receiving and Castillo Construction Co. Gary was an avid bowler, competitive fast-pitch softball player and he enjoyed playing golf. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Linda Smith.

Survivors include son, Thomas Fernandez; daughter, Victoria Fernandez; mother, Eleanor Fernandez; sister, Nathalie Mohatt (Brent Mardis); brother, Art Fernandez (Pat); grandchildren, Derion, Sean, Isiah, Audriana, and Ian, seven nieces and nephews and best friends Jerry Vargas and Liz Cowin.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thurs. July 6, 2018, at the Ryan Mortuary with Vigil Service at 6:30 PM. Celebration of Life will begin at noon, Sat, at Bishop Street, 717 Bishop St. Memorials are to the Sacred Heart Cathedral or The American Heart Association.
