A Wellington, Kansas woman is facing murder charges in the alleged beating death of her seven-month-old daughter.

Sumner County officials say police arrested Shelby Johnson on charges related to the April-first death of Jesslinn Hulett. The child reportedly suffered head and other injuries, and died at a Wichita hospital four days later.

Johnson remains in custody on $250,000 bond.
