Tyera “Ty” L. Fleshman, age 79, passed away on July 27, 2018 at the The Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan Kansas. She was born on March 16, 1939 to Vernell and Aldine Thurston.

Ty was a 1957 graduate of Delphos High School. She received her Associates Business Degree from Brown Mackie College, Salina, Kansas in 1958. Ty worked for Christian Oil Company, F&A, Cares Inc. all of Concordia, and Mom and Pops of Clyde.

She was a member of the VFW Post #7515 Women’s Auxiliary Clyde.

Her hobbies included bird watching, photography and most of all spending time with her family.

In February of 1958 Ty married R.B. Fleshman and to this union 3 children were born, they later divorced.

She is survived by her sons, Richard L. Fleshman (Brigitte), Corona del Mar, CA.; Charles B. Fleshman (Cindy), Manhattan, KS.; Sister, Elaine Wilson (John), Camdenton, MO.; 5 grandchildren, Brooke Grant (John), Joplin, Mo.; Britni Namyag (Joe), Nevada, MO.; Furious, Farrah and Fighter Fleshman, Manhattan, KS.; 2 great-grandchildren, Dean Grant, Joplin, MO.; Regan Namyag, Nevada, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Brady Fleshman on June 15, 1996.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Family and friends will gather for a graveside service to be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Delphos Cemetery, Delphos, Kansas, with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Following the graveside service family will gather at Easy G Sports Bar and Grill downtown Concordia for food and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to The Good Shepherd Hospice House, 3801 Vanesta Dr., Manhattan, Kansas 66503 c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
