Donald F. Scheetz, age 77, passed away on, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his residence in Clyde, Kansas. He was born December 8, 1940 in New Almelo, Kansas to Leonard and Marie (Otter) Scheetz.

Donald was a 1959 graduate of LeoVille High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959-1963 and was honorably discharged.

He worked for 27 years as an Air Traffic Controller for Federal Aviation Administration.

He was past member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas. He also was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Clyde, Kansas, and was a Lifetime member of Knights of Columbus.

He loved watching the KC Royals and tinkering in his garage on various projects, sailing, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He survived by his children Kim Wilson (Matt), Carla Luffman(Doug), Monica Scheetz, A.J. Scheetz and Matthew Scheetz.

Survived by his Siblings, MaryLee Brooks, Julianne Gallentine, Eileen McCuistion, Father Daniel Scheetz, Raymond Scheetz .

Donald’s surviving Grandchildren are Andrea Carroll, JD Woodell, Kelsey Beck, Sadie Luffman, Joshua Luffman, Audrey Luffman, Steven Luffman, Katelyn Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Sidney Wilson, Tuf Scheetz.

His Great Grandchildren, Olivia Carroll, Stella Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marie Scheetz, a son, John Scheetz, a sister, Geraldine Campbell, a brother, Father Joseph Scheetz.

There will be no Visitation.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm in New Almelo, Kansas, with Fr. Daniel Scheetz officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Almelo, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, Kansas in c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
