Diana Kay “DeeDee” Ketterman, 59, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 5:54 p.m., Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital.
Diana was born in McPherson, Kansas on September 11, 1958, a daughter of Harold Randolph and Doris Constance (Henry) Ketterman.
Diana attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Park School and graduated from McPherson High School McPherson, Kansas in 1976. She then graduated with a Associates Degree in Science from Colby Community College, Colby, Kansas, then graduated from Wichita State University, Wichita Kansas with a double degree in Chemistry and Biology, then she attended and graduated from Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City Kansas with a Doctorate in General Practice.
She was a member of First Christian Church McPherson, Kansas.
Through the years Diana was the Director of the Residency Program at St. Francis Regional Center, Wichita, Kansas for 10 years, then started her private practice on January 4, 2002 in Wichita, Kansas and retired in September 2017 due to health issues.
Diana was a member of the American Legion Post 24 Auxiliary and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Post 2715 Auxiliary, and numerous medical and sorority organizations. Diana enjoyed listening to music especially Jimmy Buffet, baking cakes and entertaining.
She is survived by her mother Doris Constance “Connie” and her significant other Jack Moyer, of McPherson, Kansas; her sister Kristi Ketterman and her husband Danny Dickinson, of McPherson, Kansas.
Diana was preceded in death by her father Harold Ketterman.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building.
The final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
