Julia Marie Gorman Fisher Sims, 91, of Salina passed away Wednesday Aug 8, 2018 at her home. She was born in Salina Jan 16, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Lill) Gorman. Julia graduated from Sacred Heart High School and attended Marymount College. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She woked as head of housekeeping for the Hilton Inn for twenty years and as a nanny for ten years.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Cathedral Choir, the Ladies Guild, and Sacred Heart Cathedral Council of Catholic Women. Julia was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Fisher and Harold Sims; three sons, Mark, Steven, and Daniel; daughter, Mary Cuypers; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include sons; James, John, Richard; daughters, Christina Baker, Julia Rush, Theresa Ross, Susan Fortune, and Ann Hutson; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Ryan Mortuary 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday Aug 13, 2018 with Vigil Service at 6:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral with burial following in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are to the church or Hospice of Salina.
