Martha Ann Burr, 74 passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018 at Presbyterian Manor. She was born in Jetmore to Deborah (Blattner) and Raleigh (Puck) Taylor on January 3, 1944.
Martha married Gary Burr on May 12, 1963, and they had three sons. Martha called many towns home as Gary’s career in city administration took the family to Wichita, Goodland, Hesston, Wickenburg, AZ, Ulysses, Plattsmouth, NE, Rocky Ford, CO and Greensburg, KS. After the Greensburg tornado, Martha and Gary moved to Hutchinson, KS. Martha’s life goals were to be married and raise a family. She was successful and happy.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Janice Mauk and brother Mike Taylor. Martha is survived by her sons, Joe (Lois) Burr of Stephenville, TX, Chris (Janet) Burr of Garden City, KS and Andy (Jennifer) Burr of Salina, KS; grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Burr, Ryan (Brigette), Grant, Keith and Megan Burr, Calley, Caitlin and Cody Burr; great-grandchildren Camryn and Caden Burr; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services on Saturday, September 22, 2018, 10:00 AM at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church, with burial following at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
