Hazel A. Prather

Hazel A. Prather, 92, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 17th.
Hazel was born in Aurora, Kansas on July 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Delia (Breault) and Edward Joseph Boyer.
She was the widow of James V.  Prather. They were married on February 1, 1954 and were married for 46 years before he passed in 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy A. Hasker (David) of Solomon; sons James V. Prather Jr. (Kathryn) of Salina, and Steven K. Prather, of Solomon; sister, Ilene Kelly of Belleville; and brothers, Paul, Eldon, Duane, Ray, and John Boyer, all of Belleville.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew, Harris, and Molly Hasker; Nicky Prather; and great grandchildren, Patrick Bruner and Kenrick Hasker.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Prather; and brothers, Leland, Edward, and Junior Prather.
Visitation will be Monday, October 22 from 9 AM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 5 PM to 7 PM. Rosary will begin at 6:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23rd at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud Street, Salina, Kansas, with Fr. Andy Hemmeke officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Kindred Hospice, or Holiday Resort Health & Rehab, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
