Stephen Kent Urquiola, 53, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 2:27 a.m., Thursday, October 25th, 2018 peacefully, at Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

Stephen was born in Chacarilla, Bolivia on July 31, 1965, a son of Philip Bernard Urquiola and Esther Alma (Ford) Urquiola.

Steve attended American Cooperative Grade School, LaPaz, Bolivia, Overland Christian School, Overland Park, Kansas Hallsville Public School, Hallsville, Missouri and F.L. Schlagle High School, Kansas City, Kansas.

He attended United Methodist Church

Through the years Steve worked in the printing business for several companies and later worked in construction prior to him becoming disabled.

Steve enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals, was a avid chess player and won numerous chess tournaments.

He is survived by his parents Philip and Esther Urquiola, of McPherson, Kansas and his sister Pamala Pollard and her husband Michael, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Rosaline Urquiola and Everett and Ilda Ford
