John Felix Gengler, 67, of Salina, passed away Nov. 8, 2018. He was born July 8, 1951, in Beloit, to Raymond and Mona (Miller) Gengler.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1969 and worked at Exide Battery in Salina for 35 years. He was joined in the bonds of Holy Matrimony to Pamela (Swenson), Oct. 24, 1987. John was an avid woodworker as well as a devoted hunter, instilling the love of the sport to those around him. John was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, proud of his faith and always willing to share it with others.

John is survived by: his wife, Pamela; son, Joshua (Jessica) all of Salina; brothers, David, Paul, and Michael; and sister, Lisa Steiner. John was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Frank; and nephew, Eric.

John was grateful for his time on this earth and was surrounded by people he loved in his passing.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina.
