Lucille Hand 94, died November 12, 2018 at McPherson Hospital, McPherson.

Born in Oklahoma City, Ok February 25, 1924. She was a McPherson resident in the 1950’s, returning in 1982 upon the retirement of her husband, Rev. Ralph Hand. Rev. Hand is a former pastor of First Presbyterian Church.

Her husband’s pastorates led them to Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, New Zealand, South Dakota, Wichita, Ks, Missouri, and finally back to McPherson.

Lucille was a long-time piano teacher, a member of First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Chapter EU, Ladies’ Reading Circle, Music Teacher’s National Association and Sigma Alpha Iota.

Survivors are two sons in Wichita: Steve (wife Cheryl), Scott (wife Nina), seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Jayne Smith, is a resident of the Woodlands, TX.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, and daughter, Heather.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, McPherson with Reverend H. Dick Reynolds, Jr. officiating.

Burial of cremains will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Chuch, McPherson County Food Bank or the McPherson Public Library and they can be sent in care of the Glidden – Ediger Funeral Home; 222 West Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas 67460
