Sheriff Warns Community

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan warns everyone to keep their cars locked after 3 more unlocked cars were entered the morning of Dec. 26th.

Joshua Waffle from Ponca City Oklahoma was visiting family for Christmas. An unknown suspect entered Waffle’s car and took a list of items. That list includes: A $100 Pelican gun case containing a Glock 19 and 3 magazines, those items are valued at a total of $650. A set of Turtle Beach headsets valued at $20, Wiley X sunglasses valued at $200, and a homemade speaker box valued at $400 were also taken. The total estimated loss is around $1,370

Two other vehicles on the property were entered but, the only thing taken was a $20 Shelby Cobra Emblem.

Soldan reports “All three cars on the property were unlocked … People need to remember to lock their cars, no matter where they live … Nothing of value should ever be left in a car.”

Another way to prevent theft is keeping outdoor lights on.
