Suspects in Beating Case Sought

A Christmas Eve beating is highlighted as this week’s Salina Crime Stoppers crime of the week.

The Salina Police Department is currently investigating an Aggravated Battery that occurred on Christmas Eve.

Police say it happened at 3:50 AM, in the 500 Block of W. South Street. The victim stated that he was walking eastbound on the north sidewalk when two men, who were walking westbound on the south sidewalk, made several comments towards the victim including a racial slur.

Words were exchanged, and then the two men attacked the victim, who sustained a broken nose in the battery.

The men were described as a white male, 5’10, “husky build”, with shaggy brown hair, and wearing a khaki-colored Carhartt jacket. The second man was described as a white male, 5’10, “skinnier”,
wearing a dark jacket.
