Dorothy “Dot” L. Richards, 98, of Salina, passed away Friday, Feb.1, 2019. She was born Nov. 2, 1920 to August and Luise (Sterling) Laas, in rural Brookville. Dot married Russell M. Richards, Nov. 16, 1946.

She is survived by: her daughter, Luise Richards; sons, Leland (Nancee), and Loren; grandchildren, Doyle and Darin Richards, Shelly Jarvis, and Angie Wright; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel, and Betty Ann; and extended family, Risa Jackline and Adrianne Crabtree.

Dot was preceded in death by: her husband of 37 years, Russell; her parents; and brothers, Walter, Otto, Elmer, and Rudolph “Corkey”.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present 5-7.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Brookville United Methodist Church, with burial in Bavaria Cemetery.
