Funeral services for Andrea M. “Andy” Gibson, age 56, of Abilene, will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with Pastor Stan Norman officiating. Andy passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was born October 13, 1962 in Abilene the daughter of Wade and Patricia (Delaney) Phillips. She graduated from Abilene High School and From Manhattan Area Technical College with an Associate’s Degree.

Andrea was a billing clerk for Salina Regional Medical Center for 18 years and enjoyed gardening, all animals, watching sports, and camping.

On July 10, 2001 she married Ty Gibson in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her mother Patricia Phillips of Abilene, daughter Kelsey and husband Kyle of Sabetha, Kansas, and brother Kevin Phillips of Abilene, aunts and uncles Dennis and Lil Phillips, Brian and Jane Phillips, Earl Wright, Cousins Laine and Kathrine Wright, Heather Wright, Dale and Amy Phillips, and Alan Phillips. She was preceded in death by her father Wade Phillips and her grandparents.

Her family has selected cremation. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Stem Veterinary Services for the benefit of their animal shelter and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
