UPDATE: Stolen Trailer Recovered

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office found the trailer that was stolen last week from Triad Manufacturing.

According to Sheriff Roger Soldan, sometime between midnight and 3:30pm on Thursday, someone hooked up a white, Haulmark brand enclosed trailer and drove it off their lot located at 1100 W. Grand.

Deputies reviewed video surveillance footage from around the area as they looked for the 16-foot trailer that is valued at $6,000.

On Saturday Deputies were called out to the 1500 block of E. Country Club Road. The owner found a trailer abandoned in his field, upon arrival deputies determined the trailer was in fact the one that was reported missing a few days before.

While investigating the deputies discovered a very large neon sign in the back of the trailer. Upon further investigation they discovered the neon sign had been stolen from Hedges Neon. The estimated value is around $3000

Mathew Hine (41) arrived on scene and after talking to him for a few minutes deputies determined he was responsible for the theft of the sign and trailer.

Hine was taken into custody with two charges of Theft of Property
