Crash Takes Out Downtown Stoplight

No one was hurt in a single vehicle crash in a Downtown Salina construction area Friday evening in which a tractor trailer truck disabled a stoplight.

At around 6:00 in the evening a semi hauling a 76,000 pound tank damaged a light pole and traffic control devices at the corner of Santa Fe and Ash.

The crash left the the devices hit inoperable. The semi suffered damage to a tank it was hauling and a blown out tire.

Stop signs have been temporarily installed at the intersection now, making it a four-way top.
