Thanks to the generosity of citizens in Salina the shelves at the Emergency Aid Food Bank aren’t quite as bare.
Last the weekend the organization put out a plea for help, saying its shelves were nearly bare. They said to continue their mission of feeding the hungry in Salina they were in need of immediate donations.
As of Friday night, there was food back on the shelves. Via social media the agency said “Look what you all did. Congratulations and thank you. We have another week to go until the Mail Carriers’ Food Drive, but you all made a huge difference in our ability to serve those in need. Thank you, thank you. Each of you who donated makes a very meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
