A Wichita woman faces multiple charges after a deputy noticed the expired 60 day registration on her SUV.
Captain James Hughes of the Saline County Sheriff’s office told KSAL:
At 1:55 AM on the 16th a deputy noticed a white Chevrolet Tracker with an expired 60 day tag. The SUV was going south on I-135 between Mentor and Assaria. The driver, a 23-year-old female from Wichita was driving with a suspended license and didn’t have proof of insurance.
K-9 Maggie from the Saline County Sheriff’s office was brought onto the scene and alerted to possible narcotics inside the vehicle. After conducting a search the deputy found 1/2 a gram of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, and some drug paraphernalia.
The woman’s charges include: Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended, Tag Violation, and No Proof of Insurance.
