Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita is the recipient of two federal grants.
City officials announced yesterday that the Wichita Aviation Authority received an eight-point-six-million-dollar FAA grant for runway work.
The airport previously was awarded a six-point-seven-million-dollar grant to replace part of the runway’s keel section.
Airport officials say the grants will help extend the life of the runway by nearly 15 years.
