A semi collides with a Kansas Highway Patrol car, injuring a trooper.

According to WIBW Radio , the crash happened just before 8:00 Thursday morning in the Topeka area. The semi struck the KHP car, which was parked near a construction area at US 24 Highway and Menoken Road.

The 24 Highway was closed between Menoken Road and 75 highway.

A trooper was in the car when it was hit. He was transported to the hospital. No update on his condition was immediately available.
