A 45-million-dollar bond issue to fund security, safety and facility upgrades at Great Bend schools is a no-go.
That’s the word from local Board of Education members, who say the measure failed to garner sufficient votes during yesterday’s count.
Proponents say the two-question spending plan would have bolstered safety and security at local elementary and middle schools.
The money would also have funded a third gym and locker room at Great Bend’s middle school.
