Gerald L. Jones, age 81, entered into rest on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Nicol Home, Inc., in Glasco, Kansas. He was born January 3, 1938 in Norway, Kansas to John E. and Frances M. (Knocke) Jones

Gerald was a 1955 graduate of Concordia High School. Gerald also attended Ft. Hays State University for 1 year.

He married Ruth Ann Doyen in Concordia and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2013.

He married Carol J. Trueblood on April 17, 1994 in Concordia at the Trinity United Methodist Church. She survives of the home in Concordia.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Elks, Moose Lodge, American Legion all of Concordia. He loved spending time with her family.

Gerald was the owner/operator of the Jones Liquor Store in Concordia. He also owned/operated Jones Carpentry where he built cabinets and remodeled homes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of the home, daughter, Debra Jasperson (Randy), Newton, KS.; son, Jason Jones, Concordia, KS.; two step-daughters, Jewell Willoughby and Jennifer Trueblood of Concordia, KS.; a sister, Marilyn Regier (Mahlon), Wichita, KS; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Katherine Marie Jones, brother, Donald Jones and his friend Betty Wallace.

Visitation will be from 1-8 Thursday, September 19, 2019 with family receiving friends from 6-7 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Celebration of Life services will be held 10:30 a.m., September 20, 2019 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, Kansas with Rev. Melanie Adams officiating.

Inurnment will follow in the Hollis Cemetery, Hollis, Kansas.
