Police are searching for suspects involved in an early morning drive-by shooting that sent a Salina man to the hospital.
Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that 41-year-old Paul Davenport was hit in the upper right leg as he walked in the area of 1500 block of West Crawford around 2am Friday morning.
Police say a black Honda drove up with two black males inside. The passenger fired one shot from the vehicle – striking Davenport in his right leg. Investigators found a bullet in front of 721 Osage.
Police are currently reviewing video surveillance in the area. Davenport was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police believe Davenport was targeted by the two suspects and the shooting was not a random event.

Salina Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg early Friday morning.
Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that officers are interviewing the victim after he was hit in the leg by a bullet in the 1500 block of W. Crawford just before 2am.
Police say the wound was not considered life threatening.
