A crash temporarily closed a south Salina restaurant early Sunday morning. A collision at the back of IHOP at 2273 South 9th Street between a vehicle and the back of the building prompted officials to temporarily close the restaurant.

Salina Police tell KSAL News that a vehicle parking behind the building ran into the back of it, damaging a gas meter.

As a precaution the building was evacuated due to concerns of a gas leak. Kansas Gas Service was called to the scene to repair the meter.

There was no major structure damage to the building, and there were no injuries.
