The state of Kansas is getting help from the federal government as it deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The White House announced yesterday that President Trump has approved a federal disaster declaration for Kansas.

The declaration will make federal funding available for the state and local governments as well as some non-profit organizations for emergency protective measures in areas impacted by the coronavirus.
