University of Kansas students will not have to pay a $25-per-semester fee for athletics, but will pay two other fees beginning in the fall.
Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little said Thursday she would uphold a vote taken March 12 by the Student Senate to eliminate a fee that supported women’s and non-revenue sports.
However, beginning this fall, students will be charged $12 to pay off debt on the Student Recreation Fitness Center and $7 to support university athletics programs.
The changes will mean total required student fees will be $453.54 per semester. That’s an increase of $12.49 from this school year.
