Jacob M. Schmidt, 39, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020. He was born June 5, 1980, in Salina, the son of the late Douglas L. Schmidt, Sr. and Marie (Roets) Schmidt.
Jacob worked as a warehouse manager for a furniture store. He enjoyed nature and could tame any creature. He loved fishing and movies. He knew no enemy. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his mother, Marie; nieces, Payton and Lindsey Schmidt; nephew, Kadyn Schmidt; grandmother, Charlotte Roets; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father, Douglas L. Schmidt, Sr; brother, Douglas L. Schmidt, Jr; and grandparents, Michael Roets, Sr, and Jerome and Shirley Schmidt.

A Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Cathedral and celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ryan Mortuary, Salina, to help with funeral expenses.
