Loretta Dean Ledet 84, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2020 in Wichita, at the Kansas Masonic Home. Loretta was born on October 25, 1934 in Beverly Kansas. Daughter of Lilian Paulson and William Fenton. In her life, Loretta was a dedicated mother. She enjoyed painting and waitressing at Schilling Air Force Base. On November 10, 1973 in Salina, KS. She was united in marriage for 37 years to Jefferson Lee “Pops” Ledet and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2020. She is also preceded by her parents, daughter Edith Renee Green, and two great grandchildren.
Loretta is survived by her children Stephen (Jessie) L. Brown, Rocky (Kathy) Dean Brown, Michelle (Bryan) McWhorter; grandchildren, Stephanie (Joshua), Amanda, Travis (Rian), Mathew, Alicia (Chris), Melissa, Destinee (Jason), Megan (Ronald), Rylee, Josie (Austin). Loretta is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Loretta had a love for animals and was committed in life to caring for her children and husband, towards the end of Loretta’s life, she gave her time to encouraging her fellow residents to become closer to their faith though the bible.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 2-5 with family 3-5pm. Visitation will be at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Services will be held June 12, 2020 at 1 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford St. Salina, KS, where she will be laid to rest.
Family has requested that everyone bring their own masks.
