John Richard McEachron, 89, of Salina, passed away July 5, 2020. He was born April 4, 1931 in Dalhart, Texas.
He served as a Seaman in the US Coast Guard then retired as a US Air Force Master Sergeant after 22 years. Then he worked as a clerk in the US Post Office for 18 years.
John spent his years growing up in Speed KS and the Ozarks. He spent many retirement years living on The Lake of The Ozarks where his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews enjoyed many summer days. He returned to Salina to be near family.
He was preceded in death by parents, William Earnest and Ruth (Haynes) McEachron; son, Timothy; brothers, William “Bus”, Robert, Donald, Duane, James; sisters, Pearl, Ruth, and Dorothy.
Survivors include his children, John Andrew (Carmina), Beverly Novak (Jim), Sandra Pilcher; grandchildren, Christine (Miguel), April, Brent, Timothy, Lindsay, Samuel, Jeremy, Jessica (Ryan), Charles (Sarah), Shane (Raven), Emily; great grandchildren, Braden, Serenity, Aaliaha, Israel, Jordy, Lilly, Mason, Ian, Bryce, Megan, and Lucas and
ex-wife and friend; Pamela Oehlert.
Family will gather Saturday, July 11, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at New Community Christian Church, 530 E. Cloud, Salina, KS 67401.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, spend the day loving thy neighbor. John’s mission in the last years was to touch the heart of others in a way that would lead them to our, Savior Jesus Christ.
