Lois M. Wiechman, 81, of Salina, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020. She was born June 23, 1939 in Barnes, Kan., to Ernest and Alma (Sewell) Finlayson. Lois married her high school sweetheart, Alvin Wiechman, on September 15, 1957 in Barnes.
Lois’ greatest joy and passion was raising her family, in addition to the love she gave to her grandchildren and friends. For nearly 30 years Lois and Alvin were the owner/operators of Lois’ Snacks. She was active in the TOPS Club and the Lutheran Women Missionary League. Lois enjoyed her flowers, birds and gardening.
She is survived by: her husband of almost 63 years, Alvin; sons, Calvin Wiechman (Phyllis) and Danny Wiechman (Anita); daughters, Kathy Dipman (Jeff) and Ruth Sears (Ken); eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, and sisters, Mary Weber and Ella Massey.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m., both at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Masks will be required. Burial will be Thursday, August 20, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Barnes.
