A Salina woman is arrested after pawning a stolen watch.
Police arrested 36-year-old Margarita Acosta of Salina, on theft charges and for making a false writing after she sold a gold bracelet watch for $165.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, Acosta removed jewelry from a home at 2040 Pinecrest sometime between March 12th and March 26th when she was alone inside the residence cleaning.
Police allege she took a set of earrings, a gold watch and a choker necklace from the home.
After reporting the theft, the owner checked on area pawn shops and found her watch, which is valued at $2,00 at Money Lenders, 301 W. Ash.
Police say the earrings, valued at $500 and necklace, valued at $800 have not been recovered.
