Woman Hurt Jumping Out of Moving Vehicle

A Salina woman is injured after leaping from a moving car.

Police are searching for a known male suspect, after a woman jumped out of his 2006 Ford Fusion early Thursday morning.

The 27-year-old female contacted police from her home, and was later transported to the Emergency Room to be treated for scrapes on her hand, arms and legs.

The woman told officers she had an argument with suspect – and that while they were westbound on Morrison Street, his driving became so erratic she felt she must exit the vehicle.

Police say the car was traveling at an estimated speed of 30mph near the corner of Morrison and Montrose when the woman jumped out.

Police want to interview the driver about the incident that occurred in west Salina at about 1:15am Thursday.
