A wildfire burns thousands of acres in Harvey County.

The Wheat State Fire broke out on Saturday and burned more than five-thousand acres.

Crews from multiple fire departments and the National Guard worked to contain the fire. Officials say the fire caused minimal damage to structures in the area. Firefighters remained at the scene yesterday to extinguish hot spots.
